Bluebird Hibiscus (2007) 48"H x 52"W x 8" D This flower is woven using my own technique to create texture. The petals are framed out of bittersweet vine and then woven with different shades of blues changing into light purple then into burgundies. The center is woven with cream-colored beads. Blue Daisy (2007) 48"H x 48 "W x 6 " D Framed out of bittersweet vine and then woven with round reeds. My technique of weaving produces layers of colors that are strategically placed like a painter would create a painting. These layers also produce texture. Petals have 5 different shades of blue and the center is a golden yellow. View enlargement of construction detail. |
