Winters in Connecticut can be long and chilly, leaving me, like many of us, waiting for spring. When foraging in April and May, I always look for yellow alyssum, more commonly known as a “basket of gold.” These delicate flowers blossom in mounds of sunshine and make me smile knowing that winter is far behind me. Like the plant that loves to grow in the least likely of places - cracks between paving stones, gravel paths, and patios, you will find many places to put this basket in your home. Basket of Gold is made from yellow hand-dyed reeds and seagrass and has 8” hoops.
