Have you ever gotten up early enough to experience the quiet of dawn? Have you seen the early morning sky when it is a gorgeous shade of gold… and the hills beyond reflect the most luscious lavender color? As an early riser, I see that often, and it inspired me to try to capture that golden elegance washed with shades of purple in this wall hanger. The colors are neutral enough to add just the right amount of subtle glamor to any room. I made this piece by loosely twisting and turning bittersweet vines of one continuous woven panel with hand dyed yellow and purple reeds. What makes Golden dawn particularly unique is that it has a shelf that can be used for a catchall, for flowers, or to use with an artificial candle.
