Purple Cone Flower (2007)H 46" W 46" D 8" Framed from bittersweet, the petals are interwoven in various shades of purple. The flower's center is woven with a brown background and a top layer in red. Tina used various shades of one color, interwoven in a very specific place, to represent light and shade on the flower to give it a textured, 3-dimensional look. Echinacea Purpurea (2010)H 38" W 38" D 4 " The petals are woven, in the "Dimensional Weave" style, with flat reeds that Tina has dyed in various shades of pastel purple. The center is woven with round reeds, which she dyed a very deep dark purple. The petals and center of this large purple daisy are framed in bittersweet. View enlargement of construction detail.
