  Traditional-weave woven bowl using basket reed

  Class Description: Experience the satisfaction of weaving your own small-scale, personal bowl using basket reed. You will experience a very approachable way to create a traditional weave structure (form) and learn a practical skill which will motivate you to move further into the wonderful world of basketry.

  Flat-bottomed basket framed with bittersweet vine and woven with reeds
  
  Where: Fiber College of Maine, Searsport, Maine

  Class Description: In this class students will have the satisfaction of weaving a flat-bottomed basket using bittersweet vines and reeds. This will be a very approachable class where you can learn a practical skill and another way to design baskets.

  Where:The Teen Center, 57 Church Hill Rd, Newtown, CT
  When: Saturday, October 13, 2018, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  Class Description: Students will learn the basic weaving techniques for making a ribbed basket using reeds and sea grass.
  Experience level: Everyone can participate. Cost: $40 includes materials.

  Bittersweet Vine Woven Medium Tray
  
  Where: Fiber College of Maine, Searsport, Maine
  When: Friday, September 8, 2017, 1:30 pm — 5:00 pm
  Class Description: Students will use bittersweet vines to create the framework of a tray. They will then weave a traditional weave with reeds into the framework of the tray.
